What is Cxbladder?
Cxbladder is a urine-based IVD for the detection of Urothelial Carcinomas (UC). It is a commercial test derived from and using the same technology as uRNA®.
Cxbladder is a non-invasive test that is carried out in a qualified Central Service Laboratory. The test is supplied to the clinician as a complete urine sampling system containing all the consumables needed for collection and shipment of a patient's urine sample for testing. Once the urine is collected, the sample is sent to a qualified centralised laboratory where is it anaylsed. The patient's Cxbladder test report will be sent back to the clincian for evaluation within 5 days of sample receipt.
The Cxbladder test provides clinicians with the potential to:
- Increase patient compliance as sample collection is painless and non-invasive so not a cause of further discomfort to patient
- Increase the interval between surveillance cystoscopies
- Replace the need for cytology in clinical workup
- Increase diagnostic confidence by combining a Cxbladder test with cystoscopy
